Academic and social issues

The subcommittee of academic and social issues concentrates on all the issues concerning studies and the well-being of the students of the University of Lapland. The subcommittee of academic issues concentrates on quality control of education and teaching and enables the students to give feedback to their professors and teachers. The subcommittee of academic issues also cooperates with the student representatives at the university administration and makes sure that our voice is heard in the decision-making organs.

The subcommittee of social issues cooperates closely with the Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS) making sure that the students receive high-quality health care services. The subcommittee also organises a great deal of events concerning the overall well-being of the students such as the well-being week, hang-out evenings together with Nyyti Ry and cooperates closely with the   Higher Education Institutes’ sport services. This subcommittee is also heard when the cafeterias plan their menus.
