Domus Arctica Foundation offers low-cost living arrangements for both the local and the international students in Rovaniemi. The flats are located in different areas in Rovaniemi not too far from the University of Lapland. The rent varies depending on the type of the flat; the amount of people sharing it, the size of the room and the condition of the flat. All the students have to pay a deposit of 250€ that will be returned to them after the termination of the tenant agreement. You have to pay the deposit in order to make sure that the flat offered to you will be reserved to you and not given to anyone else. Exchange students should note that if you don’t you apply the flat before the mid of July for the autumn semester and before the mid of November for the spring semester DAS cannot guarantee a flat for you. The tenant agreements are always made for the whole semester (1.8.2009 - 31.12.2009. and/or 1.1.2010 - 31.5.2010) and the contract cannot be terminated earlier.
